Oh Sheryl, Am I But a Fool?

It was a little over a year ago that the name Sheryl Sandberg popped into my twitter feed. Posted by a distant work connection, who has a love for Chanel, bags and shoes and seemed to be having a particularly Tigger time that day. She was certainly bouncing around with enthusiasm for Sheryl’s new publication: Lean in.

Hippopotamus Market

I would like to say that I’m fortunate enough to live in a market town. Unfortunately, the reality is that our weekly Charter Market generally comprises of a dominating plant stall accompanied by a motley crew of fish, card and household product stalls. The handful of any other stallholders hasn't really registered enough in my memory bank, to share with you.

The Sweet Treat

One of the best things about the Easter Weekend break is the opportunity to take stock and catch up.

Diary schedules have meant that this was the first time, in a long time, to meet up with my sisters and their families.

Base camp was the Kitkat Ranch and Saturday was the day that I could indulge and meander through a whole day of preparing and cooking. Providing me with a rare opportunity to utilise my previously mentioned guilty pleasures.

The Old Curiosity Bookshop

A couple of months ago I stepped down into an antiquarian shop that first attracted me with its quaint Dickensian appearance.

ExcelLent!

My brain is fuzzed!

In my continuing pursuit in furthering my knowledge and personal development, I’ve just spent the weekend trying to conquer Excel.

I'll tell you why I didn't like Monday

My Something for the Weekend post would normally be a suggestion or review revolving around a proposed weekend activity.

A Big Fat Gay Musical Wedding

On Saturday 29th March 2014 same sex marriage became legal. I admit that I’ve wondered about the differences between Marriage and Civil Partnership. Why was this such a momentous occasion - I thought that had happened ten years ago? Having researched, I realised the differences don’t revolve around love but because of love.

The Art in being a Mum

Last Sunday I wanted to call the Mother’s Day ‘my choice’ card and celebrate by being with the giants. Youngest giant was absent, due to a newly started job (more of another time), which left eldest giant (EG) to shoulder the burden of humouring Mum.
